The Duplicate Dan Story:

I was born in New Jersey on December 5th 1995 (feel fee to send me Birthday gifts!). I was emancipated as a Young Teen and had to learn how to handle myself at a young age. I didn’t grow up in the best part of the world, parents weren’t affluent and I (as it was) didn’t have the brightest future ahead of me. Essentially I really didn’t have the ‘silver spoon’ in my mouth when I was brought into this world.

I ended up remaining very close to my family. My cousin (Chris) I was always close with and was my best friend since birth. Him and I were only a few months apart with him being older than I was.

I lived very close to Chris and one year he ended up moving away. He was to far for us to remain close. Even though we had an amazing relationship. It didn’t last much longer after he moved. We faded away from each other only talking occasionally.

It hurt.

At the age of 17 I was finding myself in heaps of trouble with the law. My ‘circle’ of friends were all the kids you would never want your children associating with…. Yes I was apart of one of those ‘kids’.

They ended up leading me into some MAJOR trouble. I will not disclose the trouble but lets just say I am glad its in my past.

Anyways, by the time I was 18 I realized that my life just wasn’t where I wanted it to be. It was aligned right with what I thought would be happening once I reached 18.

I was a literal bum. Crashing on friends couches. Eating their food. I didn’t have a job. I was a lost and lonely kid.

Fast forward to when I was 19. I realized something in my life wasn’t right. I had to get away from ALL the people that were bringing me down. I was in some serious legal trouble. Had no one to turn to.

Except this…

One night I received a call. It was my father. Asking me how I was doing and he heard I was in a jam.

That… ladies and gentleman… was the moment in my life EVERYTHING turned around. The light switched flipped in my head.

Out of everyone who I trusted and I called my friends. The only person I heard from when I got into serious trouble was one of the people who had ‘given up on me’ when they let me go on my own.

The words still ring in my ears while I was on the phone with him, ‘If you ever need a place to stay. This was always your home and it will always be. You can come back at any time.’

That night, I went home. I went right home. I didn’t even go get my stuff at my ‘friends’ house. I didn’t go get anything. I walked with what I had. It was about 15 degrees fahrenheit outside in NJ and I have shorts and a flimsy sweatshirt. I walked home. About 1.5 miles. 30 minute walk.. Well 20 minute that night because I power walked it.

Lets fast forward now shall we.

3 Months living with my real parents. They changed. The change was VERY noticeable. I had no curfew. They let me do more than I was allowed to do on my own (if that even makes sense). I had unlimited food. I had my own place, xbox, computer, and my 2 furry best friends. Howie and Rylee (my dogs for as long as I can remember)!

Rylee has always been my favorite (sorry Howie) but that night I got home for the first time in a VERY long time. She slept with me. Whenever I go out the door now, I always see Rylee come to the back. She has a look on her face wondering… If this time…. I would even come back.

Needless to say. 3 months down the line I partner up with an AMAZING young internet marketer. Yair Dolev. Now this kid… when it comes down to thinking outside the box, has to be the best. He doesn’t only think outside the box. He takes this box, burns it down, burry’s it and make sure no one ever knew there was a box there.

I can proudly say that without him I would not be where I am today.

In 3 months (I keep mentioning the time range because…) we were able to make over $115,000 as newbies. As people trying to break into the industry.

The thing was… I as a marketer felt like I have hit a brick wall. I didn’t know how to expand. I didn’t know where to turn. I ended up hiring (now one of my best friends) a coach. His name, Devin Zander. As I write this I am sitting in his Kitchen in Florida. Devin’s coaching program was ($10,000) and Yair and I GLADLY paid that.

Now we are moving into bigger and better things. Yair and I. Even though we aren’t ‘partners’ anymore. We are very close. We mastermind together. We still launch together. However, we aren’t doing EVERY business venture together.

Fast forward from a few months from now I cannot wait to post that I have crossed $1,000,000. I cannot wait to let YOU in on what I am doing, how I am doing and eventually meet you one day.

Hi I have been dabbling in Internet Marketing for the past 4 years but except for a dollar here and a dollar there haven’t made much money.I hope I will be able to change that by ‘duplicating’

    Hi Dan,
Great 1st post. You have to have video on your blog, it is essential! I have been involved in Internet Marketing for 3 years. I have made a little bit of money but not nearly the amount I am looking for. I ran a successful coffee roasting business for over 20 years, made a lot of money. Unfortunately the economy and poor paying customers forced me to sell my business 3 years ago at a major discount. So here I am. I am focusing on video marketing and offline consulting presently. I am an affiliate to all the major programs, JVZoo, Clickbank, Clicksure, Max Bounty, Share A Sale, Commission Junction, Amazon etc.. I am hell bent on creating a few of my own products also, as well as publishing a Kindle Book on my Experiences in Business as an Entrepreneur. It is quite a story! You can get an idea if you go to my blogger blog and read some older posts. The address is below, there is enough posted on there to create a pretty interesting book I would say. The blog name is ridiculous but the content is good. I’d be interested to hear from you about it. Copy and paste the blog address below. Thanks Joe

    Dan,
It’s amazing to meet you as your child hood story is so similar to mine.
I also got into big trouble with the law when I was young, and like you I will not go into that. Anyway I have been trying for years to find something I could do online to make a living as I hate working for the man. I have tried many things and spent thousands over the years and still have to work for the man. Many of the products were a waste of time and money, as they did not work for me. I even have a couch now, but that’s a long learning process to go thru before you see any success. I am nearing retirement age and need something that I can get started making money very soon. You seen to be a very impressionable young adult and that is why I am commenting here. Here’s to your success. I will be following what your doing to see if it will work for me.

I am semi-retire but without retirement money to keep me going So trying to learn the online trade and hope to be able to survive. For now, the question of what I do online is very interesting, I am doing a de-service for myself by getting into information overload…really really overload!

Thats awesome! I am going to move (very soon) to something more offline. I am sure I can definitely get something up and running. I have some BIG things in the work. Internet marketing is a way for me to get my feet ‘wet’ as an entrepreneur. Even though its a passion of mine and I love to help others it just the beginning of something great.

For example, I will (in the near future maybe next 2-3 months) start developing a health based platform that I can build a big user database with then sell it off for a big payoff.

I will also be investing in properties (once money allows it) but as of right now… My main focus is to help others do as much as I do and be as successful as I have been able to be.

Hey Dan, nice video–I liked you and reTweeted you as well…anyway I am 53, former public school teacher and Marine. It hit me about two years ago that I might be able to work from home and be able to spend more time with my family and friends. I picked up your Commission Vance and liked your style and straightforwardness.—DCB

    Hi Dan,
Interesting story for your “About Me” post…definitely “been around the block,” eh?

As for me…I’m retired on disability (fixed income thing)…even though I’m only 55…been retired for 4 years. I started looking into Internet Marketing around Thanksgiving of last year. I’ve spent a little over $3,000 with nothing to show for it (yet). I’m still believing in this…and I know this will make all the difference for my wife and I.

I’m looking forward to seeing what else you have in store and how it will relate to what I am working for…Financial Freedom!

Information overload is not a good thing. I would suggest this:

1 – find a niche in IM that you really like. Paid traffic, SEO, etc.
2 – Find someone you can follow and someone who knows what they are doing. Do what they do (if you see fit)
3 – Actually start. the problem with information is there is an endless supply. If you tried to read everything you won’t ever implement. The only ‘real’ information that is ever perceived as high value is the information that you gather from doing something.

Hope that helps & keep checking my blog.

    Hey Dan,

Congratulations for the new blog. Looks awesome.

And that is a great story you shared here. Congrats again for finding your way at such a young age and for all the success that TAKING ACTION brought you. Although it made me feel a little old. I realized I started messing around with computers before you were even born. 🙂

    Great topics also…

Keep it up. Looking forward to see more. 😉

    Hi dan
I’ve been jumping here and there in the internet marketing for the past 2-3years but I wasn’t able to make a dollar until recently when I joined CPA networks.
Luckily for me, I was able to make few hundred dollars with cpa marketing couple of weeks ago.
Now I want to reinvest the money on paid traffic, increase Volume and learn how to scale up to make more cash. Thanks

In addition, I am starting a blog that will curate the best of the web in some key, evergreen niches. Hi Dan I really love you give so much info. I’m a graphic artist and mens sportswear designer by trade. I love online marketing. I have been into it for 3 years, I have made some money here and there nothing to leave my 9 to 5. Im trying to learn the CPA side of it now, learning how to set up tracking is the hardest part no one really shows you that. Even you course CM kind of fell short but your course was good. I have been buying a lot of course lately I need to stop buying and start doing. Im doing some offline local marketing just landed one client. But I want to learn how to make a full time living online. Let Alfred said info overload is a killer. Thanks for giving back, I plan on duplicating Dan!!

    Thanks for the support!

Thats why a lot of us do what we do online 🙂 So we can work our bums off, make a ton of money, slow it down and have something steady to do the things we love with the people we love.

Keep on being persistent. It’ll pay off.

    Hey Dan

I am part of Mobe (MTTB) a top tier business and the biggest hurdle is people understanding you have to spend money to make money and that co-insides what u r saying a bout big ticketitems and people get scared which in hind side they rather spend over $500,000 on a franchise business, eg Gloria jeans, star bucks and hope for the best!!
Thats the challange Iface and as well people want everything for free and expect to make thousands od dollars

    Hi Dan,
I’m Rob and I’ve been trying to have a successful online business during the last 2 years. The problem is that during that time I’ve just been bouncing from one opportunity to another. Now I’ve been more focused in my business and hopefully I’ll start to get the desired results.
It’s amazing how you made $100K+ in just 3 months. I’d like to learn some paid traffic strategies in order to scale my business.

  20. Dan Dasilva

    April 13, 2015

    Hey Wayne!

Thanks for the comment, glad to hear you can relate! Anywhoos…. I know the hardest part of doing really well online boils down to learning. The thing is to many people focus on the learning process. The learning process is something that can take upwards of a week. The longest part needs to be testing. Don’t be afraid to fail. Failing is a stepping stone to success.

Good luck my man, and I hope to hear from you soon!

  21. Dan Dasilva

    April 13, 2015

Ahhh yes… The common info overload lol!

I know you are looking to start up an online retail store. Ever think of using FBA (Fulfillment by Amazon). I know people that started FBA and made $400k in 6 months (Met him at JVZoo). However, I also know affiliate marketers that learned and implemented a specific method and turned it into an EMPIRE!

It really depends which way you want to lean. If you want to earn passive income then I suggest nailing one method down and perfecting it!

  22. Dan Dasilva

    April 13, 2015

I’ve been around the block many times haha.

That $3,000 you spent is your due’s that you owe before you make money. I spend over $10,000 per month on ‘learning’. Don’t fear, cause once you follow what I teach and see how you can do this as well… you will have that ephiphany everyone seeks. Once that comes… You will facepalm and ask yourself why you didn’t think of this sooner!

  23. Dan Dasilva

    April 13, 2015

Man I am sorry to hear that :/ I dropped out of high school. Believe it or not, I know a 14 year old kid who is doing $20k a month with CPA marketing right now. LEGEND in all respects. He will be tomorrow’s greatest entrepreneur.

  24. Dan Dasilva

    April 13, 2015

Thats the way to do it!

Scaling up is the absolute best way to go about it! You want to keep growing and growing at a fast pace.

John Bowie – I started pubishing my law news blog LawFuel.com in 2001 and enjoyed various online news/marketing/SEO initiatives. Some worked, some didn’t. I retired from the law late last century, which makes me sound about 110, and have enjoyed the vibrancy of the online life. People like Dan just show how much we can learn from the young, which is now just about everyone. Well done.

Hahah! Hey, age is just a number. What you do and how you think is completely different though 😛

Looking forward to seeing you around more often

  28. Dan Dasilva

    April 13, 2015

    Yep,

Dan that is the hardest part. Well… was. You need to really piece human physiology together. Understand who and WHY people buy. The greatest marketers understand one thing. the REASON why people purchase their ‘things’. You don’t sell on what you think people want you sell on desired outcomes. For example, when I sell a product I sell on emotions. People respond to emotions. People respond to wanting to help their family? Why though? They want to make sure their children don’t have to worry about money when you pass. There is a reason to every emotion and if you can pinpoint it. Don’t sell, just talk emotionally and you can close $3k MOBE sales.

  29. Dan Dasilva

    April 13, 2015

    David, thanks for the reply!

Tracking is a skill that has to be developed by a user. Everyone has different tools, methods, tracking implementation rules, etc. Its really hard to teach tracking thus why we give brief overviews of how to track.

Making a full time living online is easy, actually taking action on what you learn is a different story. Thanks for your comment and don’t let info overload get to you. Learn, implement and keep pushing forward.

  30. Dan Dasilva

    April 13, 2015

2 Years is a long time to get something going and trying to get it profitable. Definitely start trying something and stick with it. Perfect it. Paid traffic is INCREDIBLE and one of the best ways to go about getting traffic.

Hello Dan, I read you about me page and your Dad must be very proud of you. I know I would be if you were my Son.

I have been marketing on line since 2007 or trying to! I started with CPA using Google Adwords and made $400 after a few months but was then hit by the Google slap. I then set up sites and sent adwords traffic to that only to have my account suspended and then be banned for the cheek of trying to make money online. I have purchased courses to the tune of over $10,000 but have also been procrastinating for so long. I am now making online on Fiverr but only generating about $100 per month and I have to do work for that!

I have just set up an affiliate site promoting a dating offer and am going to send paid traffic to an optin page. I’m in my late 50’s and want to get this IM thing working for me so I can help my Son as getting a job where we live in the UK is difficult and it only pays around $10 per hour which is minimum wage here.

  35. Brian

    April 13, 2015

I think there is a little bit of Dan (circumstances varied) im all of us here. It is refreshing and uplifting to hear a success story, particilarly yours, Dan! Everyone has a reason and a story. I’ll share mine with you Dan, privately. Its a painful one that doesnt have its place here. Imagine where you might be without that “one call” and your cousin and Sebin Zander. Im hoping your that ‘chris’ and ‘Devin Zander’ rolled into one for me. Im tired of wondering and chasing shadows, instead of dreams. Hopefully, your reaching out here, is like the phone call from your Dad. I’m ready, Dan! Help me make it happen…please!
    Cheers

  41. Dan Dasilva

    April 13, 2015

Everyone needs that guidance Brian. Devin gave me the push to do more, my dad gave me the push to do GREAT things. My life (yours as well) is worth much more than slaving away at a 9-5. Thats just the truth. Once you crack the code (its VERY EASY) you will never have to worry about a making money online ever again.

My suggestion, is rather than buying cheap products. But one expensive one that will actually help. Read nooks that will make things MUCH clearer for you. Mindset is very important. Invest in yourself and watch how things unfold.

    April 13, 2015

Hi Dan, as I said my story is not fit for this forum, lets just say it was not an easy life. I have so many things I would like to say about the 6 months I have been doing and learning all this stuff and figured out what the “system” is and the “buzz” keywords. I agree that someone needs to follow someone who is successfull and I understand your emails are trying to support us and help people who want to “WORK HARD” lets not forget you must work hard to make money at anything. What making money online gives you is the most important thing in life worth more then MONEY-!ITS TIME! as I said I have seen alot of BS in past 6 months, same BS as I did when I did this back in 1998-200 (dot com era), and left it in 2000 now its a little more easier because of social media. I am waiting for your webinar, and then I will take it from there. I am close, lets see if you help me get closer:) Thanks
PS: remember these 2 points when someone tries to help others and its not bent on other tangibles

“Nothing is at last sacred but the integrity of your own mind”
“Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it.”
    take care!

Hey Dan, I have been leaning about internet marketing for a while now, yes shiny object syndrome. I recently had a health issue that opened my eyes to the fact that if I don’t work I would not have any cash flow coming in and would have to live with what my wife makes part time. So I’m starting to implement a lot of what I’ve learned but know enough that I don’t know a lot. So bring it on. I will take all the knowledge I can get, Thanks.

  48. Kiran Fernandes

    April 14, 2015

Hi Dan, I’m Kiran Fernandes and I’m from Mumbai, India. Sadly, I have a hearing impairment of 98%(Yeah I can hear using BTE hearing aids, but i still have a problem understanding videos with the hearing aid, and even using in the ear headphones unless there are subtitles.

Well ive tried cpa marketing, and my first try was using fiverr. i got a lot of views to the clickbank affiliate link, but it never converted. Then, I bought Adpad Ezanga for traffic, didnt know any keywords, just added some random keywords, anyways, that didnt work out. Now I have this site

    https://www.buy-any-damn-thing.com/

So, I’m thinking of becoming an Amazon, eBay, iTunes, Aliexpress affiliate. Now, since I have almost no content on my site, I think my application might get rejected.
    So, how should I
1.Add content on the site before subscribing for some affiliate offers?(Should I promote free products?)
2.Get my site searchable on google?
3.Get accepted by google AdSense? and make a killing?
4.Getting into some better affiliate sites?
The domain name is too large don’t you think? I’ll use another domain later. Somewhere, someone said that domain doesn’t matter does it?

And since I have a hearing problem, it would be helpful if you could get your videos subtitled. It would mean a lot. Thanks

  49. Dan Dasilva

    April 23, 2015

Right from the start I can see the domain is VERY brand-able without the hyphens it would be much better.

If you are going to go for a massive store wide site feel where anyone can buy anything I suggest selling with amazon and getting your site ranked for different product names. You can also add Adsense on your website.

There is SO much you can do. You can even target using FB Ads with a site like this because the audience is so big because you have multiple hundreds and thousands of products so you can micro target and make a killing!

  50. Dan Dasilva

    April 23, 2015

    Challenge Accepted 😀

  51. Dan Dasilva

    April 23, 2015

Hey Richard, the biggest thing I can see right now with you. Is the negativity. The negativity will KILL you man! Look at what other people and do what they do, dont follow what they ‘tell’ you to do unless its reasonable and makes sense (contradicting since I have a website helping people – yes but I am an exception :P)

  52. Dan Dasilva

    April 23, 2015

Man! $10k on a course! That is what I charge for private clients!!

Anyways man, you seem to have a lot of knowledge in EVERYTHING. Just stick to one thing and drive it home and I can guarantee you will be successful. Dont give up and keep being persistent with whatever you do! The only way for you to fail at this point is by NOT taking action. Keep pushing through even though its hard. Sit down, come up with a plan, stick to it for 3 months and then regroup and replan after 90 days!
